Digital Photography Getaways This is a fantastic opportunity to explore and photograph the beautiful flora and fauna of the Gulf Islands. As we explore the shorelines you can expect to see some magical sights, including spectacular vistas, ancient rainforests, an abudance of marine wildlife and distant mountain ranges. Marine wildlife viewing is spectacular Depending on the season and the weather you can expect to encounter a variety of raptors and marine birds including eagles, hawks, falcons, vultures, owls, oyster catchers, swans, gulls, puffins, scooters, and more. Advance your photographic skills while exploring the Gulf Islands on a scenic photo adventure. Bill Elford and Sea Otter Kayaking have designed a casual program of kayaking, wildlife viewing and photo workshop to create the most stimulating getaways you could ever imagine. There is something for everyone on our trips, wildlife, scenic vistas, forests. Your guide can help you with the necessary skills to get the most out of your camera. We will cover important aspects such as composition, exposure, perspective, subject matter and lighting. Northern Exposure Meet us in Ganges on Salt Spring Island. We transport kayaks to north end of Salt Spring for a leisurely paddle through small islets and coves, stopping along the way for a great lunch prepared on a clam shell beach by your guide. Then on to our B&B for the night. Plenty of time for lounging, exploring or soaking in the hot tub. Our host enjoys guideing beach walks imparting his knowledge of local maine life. Relax and enjoy your first night Salmon Bar-b-que right on the oceanfront. We provide all meals from lunch the first day to lunch on the final day, all non alcholic beverages kayak gear and guides.
On our return we will visit the shores of the Secretary Islands and Wallace islands again stopping for lunch. Walk along the shaded trails past the many colorful Arbutus trees. Observe the soaring eagles, playful seals, majestic blue herons, elusive porpoise and nimble river otters.
B&B tours can all be customized to meet your groups specific needs.
